under TrunksThey were originally designed as luggage storage on long voyages but today vintage trunks are prized possessions for their decorative features, not to mention the storage capabilities. There are many different types of trunks found as well.
Steamers were used by passengers in their quarters during steamship voyages. Dresser trunks have been known most commonly from the early twentieth century. Unlike chests, they tend to survive in better shape because of their rugged construction.
Some dresser trunks, like wardrobe trunks, became quite elaborate. Other wall trunks use a different and more elaborate system for the lid to open. Some trunks are simply reinforced chests. Storage trunks were made for keeping luggage or in simple words for storing one’s belongings in.
The name steamer trunk is almost always misused. Is there a vintage trunk I haven’t used yet? I don’t think so. Many trunk makers made doll trunks as combination toys and advertising. Dresser Trunks are fairly rare items. I truly must catch onto Victorian Trunks.
I aim to please. I can’t believe it but I should advocate myself to closely watch what my pals aren’t alleging about vintage trunks. It can be tough to do.
There has been great availability in the market for wardrobe trunks, dresser trunks, dome top trunks, cabin trunks and so on and so forth.
Victorian Trunks cannot be relied on. A true steamer trunk is about half the height of most regular flat top trunks, the other dimensions are about the same as for a regular flat top.
